Finally in possibly his biggest deal in terms of importance he wants his flagship forward signing to be Bendtnar of Arsenal whom he will offer Joe Hart for. Likely then he will play 1 up with Elano in behind. I do not think Ledley will cut it though.

Everton have put a bid in for Blackburn midfielder David Bently.

Sunderland boss Roy Keane has begun his summer cull by telling eight players he will not be renewing their deals.

Veteran striker Andy Cole, along with defenders Ian Harte, Stanislav Varga and Stephen Wright have all been released, as have four youngsters.

Academy graduates Jack Pelter, Gavin Donoghue, Billy Dennehy and Jake Richardson have also been told they must find new clubs.

Manchester City have contacted the Premier League over their interest in signing CSKA Moscow striker Jo.

IK Start's Ghanaian midfielder Anthony Annan has linked himself with a move to the English Premier League.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Norwegian club Stabaek and says his agent has received interest from a number of English clubs.

"My agent is working hard for me, and he says a lot about me moving to the Premiership in the summer," he told the Ghanaian FA website.

"He told me Blackburn, Bolton and Middlesbrough are all interested."
